Magic of Oz Candy Cane Frolic
Taken from a Magic of Oz release regarding their special Candy Cane Frolic:
On December 17th @ 9am SLT Magic of Oz will open its door to a special Candy Cane Frolic. What is a Frolic, you ask? Well, it is a super fun event where you frolic about looking for candy canes, of course! Any similarity to a HUNT is purely coincidental.
How do you Frolic? It’s as easy as one, two, three!
Step 1. Look around. There are candy canes spawning randomly all over the sim. When you see one, click it. It will disappear and you will get a gift tag. (Oooh, you know what gift tags mean, right? Presents!) Red Candy Canes contain unlimited items and Green Candy Canes are limited – only 10 green candy canes will drop per hour.
Step 2. Wear your gift tag. It will appear in your hand and tell you which shop to visit to get your gift. Find that shop in Oz.
Step 3. There will be a green striped gift with ruby slippers somewhere in the shop. You need to be within 2 meters of the gift, then click your tag. You will receive your gift!

120bpm – Faint Paulse
To say that the owner of the store 120bpm is a bit eccentric is putting it mildly. Faint Paulse is one of the most peculiar av’s I’ve met….I fell instantly in love with her. That is exactly how I feel about her designs. Her furniture is fun, stylish and so well done.
I must apologize for these images for they were a rush job since she has decided to have a spur of the moment sale today! It is her rezz day and I think she’s lost her mind a little and put everything in the store to either L$12 or L$120!!!
When asked how long the sale will last, she said and I quote, “It’s my Rezz day…I’ll do whatever I want! Till I go to bed unless i’m really drunk.” So I suggest y’all head down there right NOW and scoop up all the fabulous things!
The canopy bed alone is awesome cuz you can jump on it and not disturb the other person reading!
So head down there right now before it’s too late and lets all hope she gets too drunk! ![]()

The ARTisan ~ Issue 1
I’ve written two fashion articles for the ARTisan. Take a look online or IM me inworld for a copy.
http://issuu.com/artisanmagazine/docs/the_artisan_1
This is the first issue for the ARTisan and it is full of beautiful images from the SL art community. The articles I wrote were about Shop Seu and {Zaara}. If you get the chance, it’s definitely an interesting read.
2nd Live
Yesterday my friend IMs me and tells me about this event that’s going on called Viral Duets. I went to go check it out because it seemed interesting, especially after taking a peek at their website: http://2ndlive.org/scratch/2-mccretton.html
What Pipsi Bracken (the one in the picture with me) has done is motion captured two real life dancers and she has implemented those moves into Second Life so people would feel like they are genuinely interacting in a physical way with their avatar.
Basically on the floor there are circular objects and star-shaped objects. If you just left click on them once they will trigger the movement in your avatar (however for the circular ones you need someone else to click on the other circle since they are duets.)
It’s quite interesting to see my avatar moving quite gracefully at times and then all of a sudden losing balance, tripping, falling over, stumbling and behaving a bit klutzy just as if it were real life. I have never seen an avatar move like that in second life before and while they are still in the process of “tweaking” I guess, it’s still quite fun to play around with.
So I suggest if you have a few minutes, visit the 2nd live sim and experience it yourself, because the pictures definitely don’t do it justice!
